ACM’s response to the EU consultation of the Digital Fairness Act
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has given its response to the public consultation of the Digital Fairness Act (DFA), organized by the European Commission (EC).
ACM supports the EC’s initiative for a legislative proposal aimed at protecting consumers against harmful practices in the digital environment, while, at the same time, also having simplification and defragmentation of legislation in mind.
The EC will look into the submitted responses. The EC is expected to publish a bill on the DFA in the third quarter of 2026.
